This car has Series 1 1/2 interior (i.e. rocker switches) and engine (i.e. two Zenith carbs). The bonnet, however, is the Series 1 type, with completely enclosed headlights. I bought it in 1977 from the previous owner in Boulder, CO. I finally got the Heritage Certificate in July '09.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
