Ebay item 7/1/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $12,100, no reserve, 2 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This is a 1968 Series I, 4.2 liter, E-Type, two seat coupe, (not 2 plus 2), that was a Florida car. This is the most rust free coupe that you will find. There is only surface rust. You might need to put a set of door skins on the doors, and rocker panels. Solid floor boards and the rest of the vehicle is solid.

The engine was rebuilt double oversized, so cranks 395 hp. Engine broke in with 100 miles. Vehicle has been in storage. 38K miles total. New clutch installed, but there appears to be rust between the flywheel and the clutch surface. Vehicle does not run.

Needs interior. Gauges in place and all chrome is with the vehicle.
Factory triple carbs and air-conditioning.

Vehicle is located in Lexington Virginia, 24540

Car returns to ebay 4/10/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Jaguar-E-Type-Biscuit/163642506974

Car has a buy it now price of $47,500 for 6 days, seller larryrover, 39k miles, same location.

Seller's description:

I Purchased this car in 2013. At the time the car had great paint work good suspension, wheels and other components however suffered from a faulty engine and some questionable wiring.

A couple of years later I decided to begin to create my ultimate E-type Jaguar and had the engine fully rebuilt by a renowned jaguar book author and specialist. I had previously had the carburetors rebuilt as well, the car is equipped with the Triple SU carbs that provide great power.

I have over the years had the radiator changed to a fully aluminum sports radiator from Classic Jaguar with a 2500 CFM Fan. I have also installed Wilwood performance brakes and lines.

During the engine rebuilt I purchased a five speed sports transmission from a Guy Broad motorsports in the UK and had it installed.

The wheels and tires are in perfect condition and the car sits on the redline tires. The paint work on the car is excellent throughout except for splitting on the hood which was damaged during its storage and engine rebuild. There are also two superficial scuffs on the back which I believe will polish out very easily. The exhaust system is also in perfect condition and I have receipts for a lot of the work done going back to 2011.

The interior is not period correct and the car does not have a heater or washer bottle.

The previous owner at some point had the front headlights covered as they would have normally been open. The headliner is in great condition. The spare wheel is there although the parts to hold it down are missing. I have replaced the fuel sender and seals.

I have a jaguar heritage certificate for the car that shows it was originally manufactured in October 1967 and was delivered with the color opalescent maroon with black interior.

This car is an excellent candidate for anyone who wishes to create that ultimately type Jaguar as I was doing so. All documents I have are available by request.

Both the engine and transmission that were recently rebuilt and installed have less than 500 miles on them. The fuel gauge and heat gauge have recently stopped working I’m guessing it’s a wiring problem I haven’t had the time to figure it out I don’t think it’s a big issue. The car needs sorting but starts and drives well. The engine pulls strongly and the transmission is still new and breaking in.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
