Jaguar XKE Coupe 1968 Red not 2+2

Miles: 74686 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1968
Exterior: Red

Options: Leather Seats

Vehicle Description: I purchased this car in the summer of 1998 and began restoration work in November 2000. The engine was pulled that winter, with a complete rebuild(everything internal to the engine, ie pistons, rods, valves, timing chains, etc., transmission, clutch) and completed by the following spring. The bodywork was also begin in November of 2000 with completion by November, 2001. The body and paint is now excellent, with great care taken to provide an excellent fit and finish. All door and window rubber was replaced at this time as well. Other miscellaneous items replaced at this time is a new original steering wheel, newly cored radiator, and electric fan motor. I have receipts for the engine rebuild, body work, paint, and miscellaneous seals, steering wheel, etc. totalling just under $19,000.00. The chrome and wire wheels are excellent with beautiful Michelin redlines. The car has had no fewer than 400 miles since the rebuild. It runs very strong!

Work yet to do that would make sense to make this a fully satisfying vehicle is the interior and suspension work. The leather seats are fine, but with other portions mentioned of the car having been rehabilitated, it makes sense to be thorough in these two areas as well. Thought I would leave something for the new owner to place his own personal touch on.

With 1 days 0 hours to go on the auction there have been zero bids. The starting price set by the seller is US $25,000.00

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
