Ebay item 6/18/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1967-XKE-SERIES-1-5-FHC-100-RUST-FREE- ...
Opening bid $15,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This 1967 E-Type Series 1 1/2 Fixed Head Coupe is a unrestored, original, 100% rust free low mile's car That has been disassembled for painting process. The car has 35,836 documented mile's on it. It is also 100% complete and original except for the Weber carbs. The interior is flawless and looks as it did when it was sold new in San Bernardino, Ca. . I purchased it in Sept. 2002 after it had been stored outside, under a car cover in southern Ca. and due to the sun and heat the original paint had cracked. The reason it was stored and covered was because the neighbor's car had rolled into the right hand front of the Jag and damaged the lower valance and the r/h wing. Also there is a slight buckel that travels to the center wheelwell of the l/h wing. Repairs have been started by the former owner and myself but have not been completed. When I first purchased the car and after it had been serviced, I ran the car and drove it before takeing it apart for paint. It ran perfect and everthing worked as it should including all electrical. This is also a matching #'s car. CAR No. 1E 34481, BODY No. 4E 26094, ENGINE No. 7E 13781-9, and GEAR BOX No. EJ 15209. This car also has the original owners handbook. The original tool kit in excellent condition as well as the original jack and hammer in its original case. All of the chrome on the car is in excellent rustfree unpitted condition and all of the original glass is in perfect condition. Every inch of the car ( excluding ) the bonnet has been stripped and hand sanded and is ready for primer including the engine subframes, tranny tunnel, picture frame and bonnet hindge. The wire wheels are in excellent condition and the spare wire wheel and tire are still new. All the instruments are in excellent working condition as well as the original radio. The ash tray has never been used. I have seen alot of nice E-Types listed as the nicest original surviving E-Types but I do believe this one would top any of the ones I have seen listed.
