Heritage Notes
The black/black colours are stated clearly in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate. I presume this was a customers special wish, as nowhere in the period publications, brochures and commercial leaflets of the factory this black/black combination is stated. The first Series 1 4.2L fixed head coupe LHD was the Los Angeles 1966 show car, which was black/black too.

I do want to trace the American history of this car.
Last known owner:
Ponto, Gary Charles MD
834 Calle Serra
San Dimas, CA 91773
License plate: GP XKE
License nr: TQT129
Veh. ID: J671E32930
Date issued: 03/06/81, by the state of California
Nr. of this ownership certificate: T22136420
The car was imported into the UK on 23 December 1994, and exported to The Netherlands shortly after.
In April '95 I became the owner. The car was in very original and good condition by then. Now in proces of complete restoration.
Question:
Is there anyone out there who is able to advise on tracing down the cars history? Any information is most welcome and will be very much appreciated!!!

Haven't seen any new pictures recently. Not fallen asleep, have you? Watch out, my Healey chassis and body are ready by now ,and the building-up proces will soon be started. So it wont be long and I'll be visiting you with my freshly restored 3000 to admire the progress (?) to your little project.......

It would appear that this car spent the majority of its life within a 100-mile radius in California. Martin, good luck with the remainder of the restoration. Things are looking good so far. I wish 1E32208 was this far along...

Martin,
Love your restoration of this black/black Etype FHC.
I ordered my 1966 black/black FHC in Feb 66 (1E32642) and still think
it's one of the top 10 most beautiful cars ever built...yours is/will be a shining
example of why that's true.
Keep up the great restoration!!

Total restoration is still progressing and will be finished in May/June 2010.

Completing the total restoration is delayed.
This Jag will hit the road again in August/September 2011 presumably.
