Jaguar Type E série 1 4, 2 litres coupé 1966
Châssis n° 1E 32607
Moteur n° 7E 7891-9

Chassis no. 1E 32607
Engine no. 7E 7891-9

•Fully restored in 2014-2015
•Only circa 500 kilometres since completion
•Jaguar Heritage Certificate

This 4.2-litre E-Type coupé comes with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate stating that it was manufactured with left-hand drive and sold new via Jaguar Cars, New York, USA to one Jayne Thornburgh. The original colour scheme is listed as cream with black interior trim.

Chassis number '1E 32607' has been fully restored by Classic Restoration Services of Vreeland in the Netherlands, the work being carried out to very high standards over the course of 2014 and 2015. The engine was rebuilt by MRA using high quality parts including Mahle pistons, Vandervell bearings and Renold timing chains, while the gearbox and clutch have been overhauled to similarly high standards. Engine components were blueprinted and balanced, and sensible upgrades such as the crankshaft rear oil seal conversion, high output oil pump and lead-free cylinder head conversion incorporated. The cooling system too has been upgraded with a new radiator, high output water pump and Kenlowe electric fan.

Suspension components were powder coated and assembled with all new bearings, ball joints and rubber bushes, and the brakes restored to original specification using all new components. The fuel tank and its immersed electronic pump are both new, as is the wiring loom, while all electrical components have been rebuilt and a high-output alternator fitted.

The bodywork was sandblasted back to bare metal before being re-sprayed and weather protected underneath. Chromed parts were restored by CRS-UK and all new screens and seals fitted on re-assembly. Made to original specification by Aldridge Trimming in the UK, the blue leather interior is all new, while the body had been finished in cream as it was originally. The wheels are 6½" wide, 72-spoke wires shod with high-speed Continental 205/70R15 tubeless tyres.

By time of sale the car will have covered some 500 'shakedown' kilometres. It will be delivered complete with its original tool kit and a comprehensive illustrated restoration record. Fully documented, this beautifully restored E-Type also comes with the aforementioned Heritage Certificate and Netherlands registration papers.
