Bought off ebay, seller in Ebay ad noted floors were "pristine". However floors turned out to be terminally rust-perferated requiring $$$$ floor repairs, seller refunded $1000 but that didn't come close to covering floor repair costs. So sued and I won case, but seller refuses to pay court judge the of $4500 plus court fees. Seller specializes in porsche flipping, he moved from NC to TX

This 1966 Jaguar XKE project is a running Series I fixed-head coupe that left the factory finished in Opalescent Dark Green over a Suede Green leather interior. The car had reportedly resided in North Carolina from new until the seller’s purchase in 2014. Subsequent work by the seller is reported to include the installation of new floor metal, a rebuild of its 4.2L inline-six, a rebuild of the brakes, and more as described in the listing below. This XKE project is now offered in Florida with spare parts, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

The car was originally finished in Opalescent Dark Green, though the body now wears gray primer with rust and some older paint showing through. Side and rear window glass is present, though the windshield is cracked in several places. The seller notes the rear wheel arches require replacement.

Knock-off wire wheels are shod in older whitewall tires. Per the seller, the front Dunlop brakes feature new rotors and the rear brakes are Girling units. The steering rack was rebuilt around the same time and accompanied by the installation of new ball joints for the front suspension. The front-hinged hood can be viewed in the gallery.

The stripped cabin retains its shifter, wood-rimmed steering wheel, and dashboard. Work completed by the seller is said to have included replacements of the the front foot wells and driver-side bulkhead lower “X” box panel, as well as the adjacent 4-bolt lower subframe panel under the battery support. A pair of leather seats is included in the sale, and the five-digit odometer shows 56k miles

The numbers-matching 4.2L inline-six was reportedly rebuilt for the seller in 2014, with additional work said to include refurbishments of the fuel tank, radiator, and steering rack. A later M100-style Jaguar starter is equipped, and shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission.

Engine stamping 7E 7269-9 matches that listed on the Jaguar Heritage certificate, as well as the body tag.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a manufacture date of December 16, 1965 , as well as US delivery and the original colors.
