Not only is this the most iconic sports car ever produced but the rare Carmen Red that is beautifully featured on this example is the original color that it was born with. For many years, owners of these wonderful automobiles have been repainting their less popular colored cars to Carmen red and this E-type is one of very few that was actually born this color. The Jaguar Heritage Report shows this car was born Carmen red with black interior, the engine block, cylinder head and transmission are all matching numbered and the car was originally delivered in Santa Monica, CA. It has spent its entire life in Southern CA. The car has had two owners, the second owner purchased the car in 1974. There is a folder full of service records dating back to 1974. The car is complete with spare wheel and original jack. Within the last year the car has undergone extensive service upwards of $10,000. Not only is this car a stunning example of a beautifully preserved car but it has also undergone a cosmetic restoration within the last few years to enhance the cars originality.
