Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar Series 1 Coupe with black California license plates, one repaint since new. Garaged original-body car with excellent gaps and arrow-straight subframes. One owner since 1969. Still retains it's red factory primer in the fender wells and the factory spot-welds are visible, proving this is a solid original body. Painted for the first time this year. while the body was being stripped to metal: you can see there is only one coat of red primer between the original white paint and the metal. All body rubbers and window seals are replaced new. New Connolly leather interior installed to factory specifications. Engine and transmission in good running order, runs and drives well. The fender wells were left original to show the factory metal with original red-oxide primer and the factory spot-welds to prove the authenticity of the body (If anyone wants the fender wells painted, we can perform that service at a wholesale shop rate). Many of these cars have rusted and been improperly repaired, but this not this one: The subframe rails, the trunk floor, and the inside of the bonnet all retain the original factory paint, and all the wheel wells are 100% original red-oxide primer.

One should have a very close look to the car and check out what the seller describes! Engine and transmission in good running order (?), you will have to check this as the "solid original body" too. I bought a "rustfree original survivor" (E-Type) this year from the seller with "mostly original paintwork". Finally the car was rusted through, with a non repairable paintwork, terrible!!
The car is in full restoration now, and the seller says, that's the risk if you
buy only by pictures...So beware of this seller! I can prove all these things
with pictures, bills and so on...
