Imported into the United Kingdom from California and registered JGU552C in January 2017. For sale at the Sayer Collection at M and C Wilkinson near Bawtry for £139,950. Seller's description below.
www.sayercollection.com/1965-jaguar-e-type-series-i

A rare 1965 Jaguar Series 1 E Type, finished in its original Opalescent Maroon and Biscuit leather interior. In left hand drive configuration, this fixed head coupe is a Californian black plate car, with one owner and only 46,000 miles documented from new. Whilst preserving its originality; the vehicle has been sympathetically restored to usable condition undergoing a full Sayer mechanical refurbishment, including running gear, to its original specification. With all matching numbers, the coupe comes with its original paintwork, toolkit and UK registration. An unrepeatable opportunity to own the ultimate preservation car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
