I am the auction winner. The car will be moving to Sisters OR during the next week. I hope to give it as good a home as it's previous owner!

Car was largely restored by the previous owner, Steve Friedman of Sherman Oaks. He replaced the blown-up engine with a similar 4.2 from an XJ and installed the proper cams and pistons. The black color scheme may have been a repaint by the original distributor. It is believed several specials were sold this way

The car has consistently placed in the top three in driven class for Series 1 E-types in Oregon. Over the last year the engine was rebuilt, using considerable race technology, eg 10:1 RE pistons, Carillo rods, blueprint and balance, Isky cams, headers, port and polish, bigger valves. Car is now running -0-60 times of 5.5 sec at 4000 feet, 1/4 mile @ 13.9 and 109 mph.

Bob,
Beautiful car..love the black/black combo. That's how I ordered 1E32642 in 1966 & am trying to find it now.
I still think this combo & the covered lights 4.2 Jag is one of the most beautiful cars ever designed; keep up the great work on yours.
