Car was at auction 4/10

Auction description:
Sale 18210 - Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia, 19 Apr 2010
RAF Museum, Hendon
Lot No: 317
1967 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2-Litre Coupé
Registration no. UNO 999E
Chassis no. 1E-21469
Engine no. 7E9223-9

Sold for £28,175 inclusive of Buyer's Premium

This superb Series 1 4.2-litre Coupé was purchased by the current vendor in 2008 and rebuilt over an 18-month period, arriving at its present 'as new' condition in 2009. This refurbishment included a full engine overhaul and the car comes with a quantity of invoices detailing the work carried out. Handsomely finished in Old English White with red leather interior, 'UNO 999E' is offered with current MoT/tax and Swansea V5. A Borg Warner five-speed manual transmission is the only notified deviation from factory specification and we are advised that there is no spare wheel.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
