Car to be at auction 7/11
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 126 - 1965 Jaguar E Type Series I 4.2 litre Fixed Head Coupe
126 - 1965 Jaguar E Type Series I 4.2 litre Fixed Head Coupe
Estimate: £32,000 - £37,000
Registration Number: DXJ 487C
Chassis Number: IE 20659

The E-type on offer here today was manufactured in 1965 as a UK delivery RHD Fixed Head model. It was purchased by the current vendor from Henry Pearman's celebrated Eagle E-Types GB in 1993, and underwent a full restoration in the 1990s, including a bare metal repaint and retrim, plus full engine and gearbox rebuild, and the fitting of a full stainless steel exhaust system.

This lovely example is now described as being in excellent condition throughout and is finished in the spectacular combination of opalescent Silver Blue with Black Leather interior.

For the purist the 4.2 litre series I E-type is the variant to own and a better example than this would be very hard to find. With only 63,500 miles recorded, this beautifully presented, early example of the iconic E-type would be the star of any Jaguar collection.

DXJ 487C is supplied with current V5, maintenance record, current plus previous MoT certificates, and a Jaguar heritage certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
