    Hi,
I would really like to contact the current owner of HVM 725F, my father owned the car for almost 30 years and carried out the restoration in the UK, so I grew up with the car.
    Please contact me on greggmay@btopenworld.com.
Still looks great, exactly as I remember!

    Dear Gregg,

the car is back in the UK, just had a large rebuild and colour change to black @ DK Engineering. I would be delighted to send you some photos. We have very little history so any help you may be able to provide would be much appreciated.

    all the best

    James

I owned HVM 725F Somewhere between 1970-1972 I removed the stupid steering wheel and fitted a Moto-Lita junked the old fashioned seats and replaced them with high backed Corbeo rally seats, put Dunlop chrome wire wheels instead of the painted factory ones, with a big bore exhust it was a 25 year olds dream. I got shot of it when I could not match the roadholding of a Marcos 3 liter on winding roads in North Wales, and I never got more then 135 mph out of it. I paid 1300 gbp for it at a dealer in West London.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
