This delightful example of the most popular Jaguar 'E' Type 4.2 Roadster has been entered by a gentleman from South Yorkshire who informs us that the engine has recently been rebuilt and converted to run on unleaded fuel. At the same time the axle was rebuilt by a company called C.M.C. and in the history file there are photographs showing work being carred out on the engine and the axle.
The interior of the car has recently been retrimmed and new chrome wire wheels and tyres have been fitted as well as a stainless steel exhaust. The vendor describes the car as being in very good condition throughout and we have found over the years that the 4.2 Roadsters are becoming harder to find, especially in good condition.
The car comes with a current V5 registration and it's exempt road fund licence which will enable the lucky new owner to drive this car away from today's sale.
A wonderful example.

The engine rebuild described above was not a complete sucess - pistons/bores became glazed and it all had to be done again in 2004/5 - I'm running it in as we speak

Has now had a rebuild back and forwards from the original bulkhead to superb condition. She has been sprayed in silver blue and is now waiting to be put back together
