Ebay item 7/29/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-Jaguar-E-type-XKE-/111130165532
Opening bid $7,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. 67k miles.

Sellers description:
This E-type has been an Indiana car its whole life... That's why its rusted so badly. The floors are gone and the rockers and inner supports are rusted so bad the doors will not shut. The car has had only one owner. She drove the car until 1975 then it was driven occasionally. It hasn't ran for 20 years. I don't see any parts missing. Great car for restoration. Inspections encouraged, All sales as is

Would have been much cheaper to buy one already done....

A diamond in the rough! Sad to see an E-Type this far gone, but it looks like it's all there and worth restoring. Anything's better than letting another one disappear forever. Good luck with the restoration.

This car is well worth restoring, it is a lot better than a most of the projects that have sold lately. The rust is no worse then what they see in England or on the east coast of the US. It was the salt used on the roads that caused the corrosion not the lack of being garaged, and try finding another one owner, matching number, complete car...

Not worth restoring!! Fools dream..You will have twice the amount in it that it is worth.. I predict this car will go from person to person for the next 20 years with out getting on the road.......leaving a car OUTSIDE is worse than midwest salt..

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
