Ebay item 11/1/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-E-Type-Beautiful-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-5- ...
Opening bid $20,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I am selling my beloved Jaguar E-type after 10 years of summer cruising and winter tinkering and tweaking. I restored the Jag from 1998-2000 and have driven it all summer since then. The Jag has traveled approximately 7000 miles since restoration. Body was fully restored using all Martin Robey Panels....no rust anywhere. Interior was fully restored with a complete interior kit from Bartlet of Ohio. Transmission was checked and any worn parts replaced and the engine received a full top end re-build. The engine is fed by three SU's fully restored by Apple Hydraulics). All bright work was either replaced or re-chromed. The Jag was restored to original specification with the exception of the following modifications: Gear reduction starter, new Cool Cat fans, contemporary alternator, Mallory electronic ignition and spin-off oil filter. This Jag is a very above average driver and will be a joy to the next owner as it has been for me. In the past 4 years, it has won first place in the Shenandoah Valley British Car show (Waynesboro VA) and first place (for two years straight) in the British Cars by the Sea Show in Waterford CT. If you are in the area, call and take it for a spin. Existing Issues The wire wheels are original and are showing some signs of wear and probably should be replaced with a set of new SS spoked wheels. As is pretty typical, the car has a rear main seal oil leak that is more of a nuisance than anything. Interior shows the typical wear of a car driven regularly, but still shows like a star. Exterior has a few scratches and road chips, but nothing that distracts from the overall beauty of the car. The Jag has a new canvas top that, although it looks great, it leaks at the front edge. Only caught in the rain one time, and that was enough! Please keep in mind that my Jag is driver and was not restored as a concurs contender.

Opening bid $50,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Bend, Oregon. 141k miles.

Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar E Type Convertible

This car is a beauty, the most sought after color combination. Black and tan interior.

I bought this car 4 years ago when it was already in excellent condition. The previous owner
restored the car between 1998-2000. The body was fully restored using Martin
Robey panels....no rust anywhere. Interior was completely replaced with a complete
interior kit from Bartlett of Ohio. Transmission was completely overhauled. Engine
received a full top end re-build. Engine is fed by three SU's which were fully re-
built by Apple Hydraulics. All bright work has either been replaced or re-chromed.
The car was restored to original specifications with the exception of the following
modifications...Gear reduction starter, new Cool Cat fans, Exile sound system with 12"
sub in the boot (can easily be removed, but I sometimes like to hear music when I drive!),
Mallory electronic ignition and spin-off filter. Tuned headers were installed to replace
the ceramic exhaust manifolds. I had the car re-painted in 2008 by
Autowerks of Bend, also at that time I replaced the original worn 5 inch wires with new 6 inch
Hendrix chrome wires and knock-offs, along with new P4000 tires.
Earlier this year I replaced the clutch, the e-brake (hadn't worked since I bought the car),
various switches, gauges, hoses, seals, pedal pads, bearings, choke knob, light-assemblies, etc
etc.....the car won many shows in the early 2000's....the car looks and better now
than when I bought her, never driven in the rain, only driven 3,000 miles in the last 4 years....
I have invested over 70K including acquisition....I have not shown the car, but it is truly a real head-turner.

Sellers description;
I am selling my cherished 1968 Jaguar E type after 5 years of ownership.

When I purchased the car in 2007, the previous fanatical owner had restored the car over a 2 year period from 1998-2000. The body was fully restored using all Martin Robley panels....no rust anywhere. Interior was completely replaced from Bartlett of Ohio. All worn transmission parts were replaced. The engine received a full top end rebuild. Engine is fed by triple SU's fully re-built by Apple Hydraulics. All bright work has been re-chromed or replaced. Tuned headers were also installed to replace the ceramic exhaust manifolds. The previous owner won several awards, including 1st place at Shenandoah Valley British car Club (twice), and British Cars by the Sea Annual Show inWaterford, CT (twice). When I purchased the vehicle in 2007, the wires were original 5 inch and were worn, the rear main seal was leaking, paintwork and brightwork were showing signs of wear, rear main seal was leaking, clutch slightly worn and handbrake and several gauges did not work.

Over the last 5 years, I had the car pulled apart, completely repainted by Autowerx (underside too), lot's of new chrome, new 6inch Hendrix wheels with new Pirelli P4000's, new knock-offs, new clutch, wiring re-worked, new interior switches and gauges, new handbrake, updated sound system.

The car is a real head-turner and drives and sounds terrific! No time wasters please!

Seller's description of above ad :

Dokumente & Historie:

-         Rechnungen der aufgeführten Arbeiten

-         Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate

-         Aktuelles Wertgutachten zum Fahrzeug

-         §23 H-Zulassung Aktuelle!

Sind zum Fahrzeug vorhanden.
