Current bid $30,100 reserve not met, 22 bids 7 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Redwood City, California.

    Sellers description:
A very careful, documented conversion, no cutting or welding, no expense spared ($32,153).

The original 4.2L engine and 4 sp transmission come with the car should you ever want to return to original. The original engine was completely rebuilt and run for 15k miles before storing it.

The second owner (a cable CEO) purchased the car at 40k miles and converted it. I'm the third owner. 76,378 total California miles on the car.

Repainted once with great care, body and chrome an 8.5-9.0 overall. Body has never been hit. Zero rust, hasn't been driven on a wet road since I bought it.

New interior. Modern Dunlop wheels; tires very good (no visible wear, some light checking).

What's wrong with the car: Wipers don't work. Speedometer needle wavers, should be rebuilt. A small (1/2") ding in the bonnet. A short (1/2") tear in the top repaired from the inside -- top is otherwise excellent, with a clear and unscratched backlight.

School tuitions force sale. An immaculate, reliable and immensely enjoyable car. Unbelievable acceleration. You will not be disappointed.

Opening bid $70,000 reserve not met, no bids 9 days left in auction, seller harryetype, 87k miles.

    Sellers description:
Offered for sale is the beautifully finished 1968 Jaguar E-type 4.2 Roadster a genuine California Black plate car with matching numbers.

I have just finished a comprehensive restoration on the car and have incorporated some genuine period upgrades to produce an exhilarating ride without substituting ride and comfort. Finished in Jaguar Dark blue with Dark Blue interior and the Dark Blue soft top the car looks absolutely stunning.

For improved performance the car has factory inlet trumpets, fast road camshaft, larger valves, ported head and mild steel sports exhaust system.

The car can come with either painted triple laced wire wheels currently fitted or alternatively it can come with Chrome Wire Wheels. I do have a standard air filter set up too so that could be fitted in place of the trumpet set up if required.

For enhanced handling the car is equipped with Triple Laced Wire Wheels, Koni adjustable shock absorbers, fast road torsion bars and fast road anti roll bar.

Linked with a few reliability upgrades such as electronic ignition, correct period looking but high efficient cooling fan, silicone hoses and electronic fuel pump. You can drive this Jaguar E-type with piece of mind.

This beautiful Jaguar E-type has just won first place at the Central Coast British Car Club this last Sunday July 17th 2016.

As the founder and former owner of a well reputed E-type specialist in the UK I have over sixty E-type restorations behind me and as such I have implemented everything I feel would create the perfectly balanced driver car that looks and drive equally.

I can also convert to RHD at additional cost if required.
