Ebay item 8/26/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-5-Jaguar-XKE-1968-Primrose-Yellow ...
Current bid $5,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $58,900.
Sellers descrimination:
1968 XKE Jaguar in outstanding, unmolested condition. The past owner had it for over 20 years and we both feel confident that the mileage at approximately 67,000 is correct.
This car drives as tight, strong and straight as my late model Porsche. The gear box is in excellent condition and has syncro in ALL forward gears. You will see from the pictures that it is a Series 1.5 which included upgrades to the interior and some upgrades to the mechanical systems. The color is a beautiful Primrose Yellow which has had an overspray about 15 years ago. This was the original color when delivered, and has a black leather interior. The paint has two very small "star" like cracks on the deck lid and a few other minor scratches and blems which are not noticable to most people. There is, however, a very small dent on the right front fender. I have tried to show these few blems in the included pictures but they are very hard to see (even in person).
The interior shows some wear on the console and doors and the steering wheel needs to be revarnished, but for a 40 year old original interior, it is in excellent condition. The top is virtually new and the back window is clear. It fits tight and true--it has rarely been up as both the prior owner and I never drove it in the rain unless there was no choice. The chrome wire wheels are straight and true and have no rust. All the guages except for the clock, work correctly. The oil pressure and water temp are fine in and out of traffic.
You can see that the car has virtually no rust on the underside and frame. The car has no rust that I can see on any of the panels. The exhaust system is in fine condition. The glass in the doors and windshield have no cracks but there is a small scratch on the windshield from a wiper blade. I am trying to acurately describe all the things that a Jag expert would notice.
This is an excellent example of a well maintained XKE that with minimal cost and effort can be a "Best of Show" winner. With NO effort you will have a beautiful "driver" that will win "the peoples' choice" award.

Car returns to ebay 4/21/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1968-XKE-Jaguar-Roadster_W0QQitemZ1604 ...
Current bid $10,100 reserve not met, 5 bids 6 days left in auction. Car still in Charleston, North Carolina.
Sellers description:
1968 XKE Jaguar Roadster Series 1.5. I have owned this car for two years and purchased it from a friend that owned it for 20 plus years. The only reason it is for sale is that I am in the process of rebuilding the engine and transmission on a '72 Dino. The color is primrose yellow and the interior is black leather. The top is black cloth. The car has 68,090 original miles. The exterior and paint is in good shape and has just been detailed. It has only a few small dents that are hard to find if you are not really looking for them. The paint is very good with only two very small blemishes from the truck lid being shut on a set of golf clubs.
The glass is in good condition with a small bubble in the lower right corner. The roll up windows work perfectly and are in excellent shape. The black leather interior is in overall very good condition with only a few worn places. The top is in excellent condition and the rear window is clear. The body is rust free with the exception of a small rust bubble under the exhaust pipe in the rear of the car. As you can see from the pictures, the trunk liner is in fine shape. The tires and wheels are in very good condition.
The engine runs strong with no smoke. The transmission works perfectly and the syncros in all forward gears work as new. Three months ago the front suspension was rebuilt with new shocks, new ball joints and tie rod ends. As a result, the car rides like new. About a year ago, all fluids and belts were replaced. All guages work and the car runs cool. This car can be best described as a wonderful "driver", but with some work it could be a show car. As it is, it can win the "Peoples Choice" at local car shows.

Car returns to ebay 11/14/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1968-XKE-Jaguare-Roadster-Series-1-5-L ...
Car has a buy it now price of $46,000 for 20 days. Car now said to be in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE 1.5 Series Roadster in Primrose Yellow with only 68,500 miles. This car has had only 3 owners in the last 20 years including me and spent most of its life in the South away from the snow and salt. It is one of the smoothest running cars that I have ever owned and had over $10K invested in the last year alone including: new period correct tires, full stainless steel exhaust and manifold, front shocks, ball joints, tie rods, all hoses, battery, all fluids, belts, detailing.....All work receipts will be included with the car along with the original owners manual. There are a few dings on the body that are hard to see and a couple of stars in the paint on the trunk top. The interior is in great shape with some worn spots along the console on the passenger side. The top is only 10 years old and is in new condition with a clear back window(who wants the top up?) I have included some shots under the car to show how clean and solid it is. No smoke, runs cool and shifts effortlessly. I love driving this car with one exception, if you are over 6 feet 2 inches tall you will be looking over the windshield as you drive down the road and I just can't get used to the driving position!
