Classic Showcase is pleased to offer this 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 Roadster as a unique project opportunity that is available exclusively as a Classic Showcase restoration, either as our show/driver-level, or as a personalized, modified XKE. Originally delivered to California when new, the Jaguar spent time in the San Francisco and Palo Alto areas and remains a solid and well-preserved candidate for restoration.

The Roadster’s body and monocoque are in good structural condition, making it an excellent platform for a high-quality build. At this stage, the E-Type is still fully customizable, allowing its future owner to designate their preferred exterior color, interior color & materials, and any other performance or cosmetic upgrades to meet your vision.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
