For sale at Sports Classics of Sheffield for £59,000. Seller's description below.

This lovely E Type is available as an easy running driving project. It is here in the UK. It would take very little to MoT and have her back on the road straight away, it is very solid and original. The body is very good with no signs of accidents. Metal work is minimal as there is little rust. The main problem areas are one door bottom needs replacing; front door pans look solid but are dented, probably from jacking in the wrong place; seals have been replaced at some point but are not correctly finished.

We intend to do the car as a demonstrator but if you are quick you can buy her as she is and take her away. Price is fixed so please no offers. Our plan is to start work with a 5 speed gearbox, triple carbs, new interior and hood in navy blue, converted to RHD, new tyres and possibly new wheels, although they appear in good condition, repaint in the same colour. This will make a stunning E Type with the best of upgrades and driving pleasure.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
