Consignment # 2085
VIN: J671E15854
This is an absolutely stunning 1967 Jaguar XKE 4.2 roadster that has been immaculately restored over the last 20 years to like new condition! This XKE 140 series has matching numbers and is finished beautifully in Carmen red with biscuit interior. This Jag has 52,000 miles that are believed to be original miles on the car. It has been driven just 2,000 since being completely rebuild. The equipment on the car includes a 4-speed manual transmission, tri-carb SUs, toggle switches, stainless Daytona wire wheels and stainless exhaust.
The engine was rebuilt by master English mechanic Roy Beal and no expense was spared. It has never seen rain or snow, and is kept inside a heated garage. This E type was purchased by the current owner in 1985 and since has been a labor of love in restoring this car to its spectacular current condition, it needs NOTHING and is show quality. Every inch of this car is spotless including the under carriage. It is truly unbelievable and you will have a hard time finding a finer example of the Jaguar XKE.

In November of 2013 this vehicle underwent a full interior restoration that included:
Carpet
Door panels
Seat covers
Center console
Rear bulkhead
Interior metal trim plates
Seat frames
Paint convertible top frame
New Interior Chrome
Shortly after it was given a new vinyl top and boot cover.
While the engine was already in great shape, the owner made a few necessary repairs as needed. This Includes:
Alternator Shield

Air Intake Box
Heater Box
On March 24th, 2014 this Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Litre was Certified by Jaguar Heritage. Following the vehicle's certification, the owner entered the car into the 2014 Palm Beach Cavallino Classic where is showed its factory restoration and placed in its group.
On November 11th, 2015 the car was given an appraisal by Classic Car Appraisal service, garnering an excellent mark for interior and exterior along with a grade of 1/2.
Today, this car shows extremely well with a gorgeous factory interior and an exterior with only minor flaws. The legendary drivability of this car still comes through today as the gears continue to shift effortlessly and the engine runs as smoothly as ever. This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was refurbished in red under previous ownership and is powered by a rebuilt 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Following the current owner’s acquisition in 2013, the interior was re-trimmed in black upholstery and a replacement soft top was installed. Additional work completed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the clutch and clutch hydraulics as well as the brake master cylinder and servo. The car is also equipped with a limited-slip differential, triple SU carburetors, rack-and-pinion steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, and a push-button Blaupunkt radio. This XKE roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, an owner’s manual, a tool roll, a knock-off hammer, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Georgia title in the owner’s name.
The body came factory-finished in beige according to the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and it was refinished in its current shade of red prior to the current owner’s acquisition. The black soft top was subsequently replaced, and equipment includes a matching top boot, a louvered clamshell hood, dual center-exit exhaust outlets, and wraparound chrome bumpers with overriders. Finish flaws include paint flakes on the hood louvers, an area of lifting paint at the front of the trunk lid, and a tear in the soft top above the left door.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels secured with branded two-eared knock-off nuts are wrapped in Avon tires, and a matching spare wearing an older Vredestein Sprint ST tire is stowed beneath the trunk floor. The selling dealer reports that the brake master cylinder and servo were replaced in 2018, and the brake light switch was replaced in 2021.
The cockpit was re-trimmed in black under current ownership and features leather-upholstered bucket seats, an adjustable steering column, an open glovebox, a passenger-side grab handle, a padded center armrest, Jaguar-logo rubber floor mats, and a push-button Blaupunkt radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 160-mph Smiths speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and is equipped with triple SU carburetors and polished valve covers. Service in March 2021 included adjusting the carburetors, replacing the ignition wires, and changing the oil.
The number 7E13895-9 stamped on the cylinder head matches the number stamped on the engine block and the chassis plate along with the frame stamping.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The selling dealer reports that the clutch, pilot bearing, and clutch hydraulic cylinders were replaced in 2016.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates a manufacture date of June 30th, 1967, and distribution through Jaguar Cars of New York as well as the factory serial numbers and colors.
Chassis number 1E15854 is shown on the manufacturer plate, and the current Georgia title lists the vehicle’s VIN as J671E15854
