This 1967 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a series I example that is finished in dark green over tan leather and powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a Vicarage five-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been refurbished in 2000 by Jaguars Unlimited of San Marcos, California, and was acquired by the current owner in July 2015. Features include triple SU carburetors, an aluminum radiator, 15” chrome wire wheels, upgraded brakes, a stainless-steel exhaust system, a tan soft top, and an Alpine CD stereo. This XKE is offered by the seller on the owner’s behalf with a top boot, refurbishment photos, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.

The car was disassembled and repainted in its current shade of green in 2000, at which time the brightwork was reportedly refinished. Exterior details include chrome side mirrors, split chrome bumpers with overriders, and dual exhaust outlets. The tan soft top stows under a matching boot. The seller states that the headlight harnesses were recently replaced.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-off spinners and are wrapped in 205/70 Vredistein Sprint Classic tires with Carlisle tubes. The four-wheel independent suspension features polyurethane front and bronze rear bushings, Team CJ adjustable dampers, upgraded sway bars, and an adjustable front reaction plate. The upper ball joints were rebuilt and the lower units were replaced in August 2021. Four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rears were standard on the XKE, and this example has been fitted with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers over vented discs.

The interior features tan leather seat upholstery with dark green piping and a matching center console, door panels, and sills. Green carpeting is covered by Jaguar-branded rubber floor mats, and an Alpine CD stereo with a Sony amplifier and aftermarket speakers has been added.

A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. Additional gauges in the center dash display coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset during the refurbishment and now shows 13k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the tachometer transducer and horn relay were recently repaired.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was overhauled under previous ownership and is fed via three SU carburetors. Equipment includes dual overhead camshafts, an aluminum radiator, a Mallory electronic distributor, ceramic coated headers and downpipes, and a 2″ Falcon stainless-steel exhaust system. Service in August 2021 included a valve adjustment, a cam cover gasket replacement, fitment of a K&N air filter, replacement of the air canister and airbox seal, and an oil change.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Vicarage five-speed manual transmission paired with an aluminum flywheel and a heavy duty clutch.

Lot #121935

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a series I example that is finished in dark green over tan leather and powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a Vicarage five-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been refurbished in 2000 and was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in March 2022. Features include triple SU carburetors, an aluminum radiator, 15” chrome wire wheels, upgraded brakes, a stainless-steel exhaust system, a tan soft top, and an Alpine CD stereo. This XKE is now offered by the selling dealer in Canada with a top boot, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and British Columbia registration.

The car was disassembled and repainted in its current shade of green in 2000, at which time the brightwork was reportedly refinished. Exterior details include chrome side mirrors, split chrome bumpers with overriders, and dual exhaust outlets. The tan soft top stows under a matching top boot. Chips on the front of the car are visible.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-off spinners and are wrapped in 205/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires with Carlisle tubes. Four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rears were standard on the XKE, and this example has been fitted with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers over vented discs. The four-wheel independent suspension features polyurethane front and bronze rear bushings, Team CJ adjustable dampers, upgraded sway bars, and an adjustable front reaction plate. The upper ball joints were rebuilt and the lower units were replaced in August 2021. The selling dealer reports that shims were installed on the upper ball joints under current ownership.

The interior features tan leather seat upholstery with dark green piping and a matching center console, door panels, and sills, while green carpeting is covered by Jaguar-branded rubber floor mats. An Alpine CD stereo, a Sony amplifier, and aftermarket speakers are installed.

A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. Additional gauges in the center dash display coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset during the refurbishment and now shows 13k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is fed via three SU carburetors and equipped with dual overhead camshafts, an aluminum radiator, a Mallory electronic distributor, ceramic-coated headers and downpipes, and a 2″ Falcon stainless-steel exhaust system. Service under current ownership reportedly included changing the engine oil and coolant in addition to adjusting the timing chain and replacing the valve cover gaskets.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Vicarage five-speed manual transmission paired with an aluminum flywheel and a heavy-duty clutch.

A reproduction data plate was installed under current ownership and displays chassis number J671E15846.

A jack and a hammer for the wheel knock-off spinners will accompany the car.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its British Columbia registration.
