Car to be at RM auction 1/10
www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm

Auction description:
Chassis No. 1E15611
Estimate: $120,000-$140,000 US
To be auctioned on Friday, January 22, 2010

No expense was spared in this E-Type’s comprehensive restoration, which was carried out by Jaguar specialists. The car was completely disassembled, stripped to bare metal, fitted, repainted, color sanded and buffed. A new interior was custom fitted and installed, the brightwork was redone, and all mechanical systems were gone through, rebuilt or replaced as needed. The car benefits from a new exhaust system, battery, chrome wire wheels and tires, rubber, seals, new wire loom, hardware and much more. All in all, the craftsmanship and finish are excellent, from the black exterior to the striking red interior. What a great color combination!

A major in-depth service was recently completed by the marque specialists at Classic Showcase of Southern California, along with final detail work to the body, interior and engine bay. The car was prepared for concours readiness and, in fact, received a score of 98.48 points in the San Diego Jaguar Concours (August 2008), wherein its one major deduction was due to a missing toolkit. Although it is a very capable performer, it would be equally at home on the concours field, where its stunning black/red color combination is sure to attract admirers.
