This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was purchased by the owner in 1974 and was the subject of a refurbishment that was completed in 2014. It is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Opalescent Maroon over tan leather, the car is equipped with a black soft top, open sealed-beam headlights, 15″ wire wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, and a heater. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car was refinished in its factory Opalescent Maroon in 2016. Equipment includes a black soft top, sealed-beam open headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 205/70X15 Dunlap Signature Ii tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
Originally trimmed in black, the cabin was reupholstered in tan leather in the 2010s. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, a Blaupunkt radio, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles, approximately 6k of which were added since 1974.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. It was rebuilt in 1987 and refreshed again during the 2010s build.
The cylinder head stamp matches the number listed on the Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
