Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer
This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was built on May 4, 1967, distributed to the US through Jaguar Cars of New York, and acquired by the current owner approximately 19 years ago. Finished in Cream with a black soft top over black leather, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with triple SU carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, glass headlight covers, four-wheel disc brakes, and knock-off wire wheels. This XKE is being offered on consignment by the selling dealer with a tool kit, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, documentation from current ownership, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean New Hampshire title.
The exterior was factory finished in Cream and is said to have been repainted some time ago. A black soft top and matching tonneau cover are fitted, and the selling dealer reports that the glass headlight covers were installed by the current owner in the last few years.
Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with Coker Classic redline tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears, and the selling dealer reports that the front suspension has been refreshed. A full-size spare is found in the trunk.
The seats are upholstered in black leather and the cabin features a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Lap belts are fitted for both occupants, and features include a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio wired to speakers housed in the inner kick panels, a padded center arm rest, and toggle switches for vehicle functions.
A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel with an E-Type center cap frames Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock. Auxiliary instrumentation in the center of the dash includes displays for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows just under 59k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2L DOHC inline-six is equipped with triple SU side-draft carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Engine block stamping number 7E13313-9 is the number listed on the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate as well as on the chassis plate.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the original colors and component numbers, as well as delivery in the US through Jaguar Cars of New York.
