Sellers comment:
This LHD US spec vehicle with Heritage Certificate and Chassis 1E15389 (all numbers match) has been covered and garaged in the dry since the 80's. It has been hardly used, probably less than 2,000 miles in a decade. It has been taken for a short run ocassionally and only on sunny days. It always starts right up and runs well. As a result of little use it has less than 52,000 miles and appears to be as original as you can find.
A few years ago the present owner went to considerable expense to rebuild the brakes, replace rotors, rebuild the rear rear suspension and replace the exhaust with one of stainless steel.
There are no seat belts though anchors are fitted. There is also a boot to cover the covertible top when the top is down.
This is a very good example of the marque for a very beautiful classic car.
Vehicle Condition
This car is very clean. Fits and finishes are off little compared to a modern car, so it is not perfect, probably was not perfect when new either. It has a few small door dings, barely visible. This is more of a driver car than a show car although it is unquestionably very attractive. Some of the rubber trim around chrome bumpers is a little cracked from age. Chrome is all original, again not perfect.
For an ungalvanized car and one historically prone to rust this car has minimal corrosion. The previous owner is understood to have professionally replaced the sills and reupholstered the leather seats in the late 80's and resprayed the car professionally in original white and replaced body seals at that time.
Because the vehicle has been little used the brakes tend to drag when first driven and the clutch seems a little lazy. The clutch slave cylinder and a return spring was replaced and improvement was noted.
The car should be driven and enjoyed by someone who appreciates and can take care of beautiful old cars!

Added extra numbers from data plate as per note from current owner/seller. Also included was the following info:
The sills were replaced by the previous owner in the late 80's or early 90's I suppose. The work on the suspension, brakes and exhaust was done by a local professional in Detroit who specializes in foreign cars and Jaguars.
