Advertised as a project on carsales.com.au by private seller asking AUD$115,000. The car is in Bayswater North, Victoria, Australia. Seller’s description (edited) follows:
This car was imported from California then sold to a buyer in Sydney who, unfortunately, passed away before he could restore it. I purchased the car in pieces and brought it to Melbourne where I had it garnet blasted in preparation for starting on the bodywork.
After unpacking all the parts I realised I had taken on more than I could manage! So it is now for sale. As far as I can tell the car is complete. It is left hand drive, but a RHD steering rack is included with the car. The body is generally in good condition with no obvious signs of rust anywhere. There are 2 bonnet assemblies one of which needs quite a bit of work. The rear suspension looks as though it has had the rotors and brake pads replaced quite recently. Similarly the front brakes. The bonnet wasn’t garnet blasted as I was advised to clean that by hand to avoid any possible stretching of the steel. The price includes the rotisserie, Jaguar workshop and parts Manuals and Heritage Certificate.
