Ebay item 2/16/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $23,100, no reserve, 17 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar Series 1 XKE 4.2 that was restored several years ago and has had very limited use since. The car runs and drives as very well, however it will need a thorough service to provide reliable service. Overall the car is very nice and would make a great looking reliable driver with little effort. I have several photos of various angles to give as much visual info as possible. The car looks great in person and is really a great car to enjoy for what it is. I encourage your inspection.
Vehicle Condition:
Though the car was once restored, it is an older restoration that was typical in quality for restorations of the time and now signs of prior work are now becoming visible. The car has been sitting for the last few years and I just had a local shop get the car running (drain old fuel, new batery, etc.) The car runs and drives as very well, however it will need a thorough service to provide reliable service. The paint on the car is very good overall, however there are a few nicks, small dings, etc. but has a nice shine and could easily be improved on. The bright work is good overall with some pieces better than others. The majority of the guages are working with no guarantee of accuracy. I cannot make any claim to the accuracy of the odometer. The rear brakes are little sticky but are improving with use. The hydraulic fluid for both brakes and clutch will need to changed. The bulkhead, bonnet, rear trunk floor, and all panel fitment is very good. The driver and passenger foot wells have fiberglass patches. The car is missing jack, tools and door key.
