Sold by Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth in February 2021. Seller's description below.
www.cmccarsales.co.uk/carsales/jaguar-e-type/
Sold by Perivale Motors London, LPC360D was issued with its registraton number by Surrey County Council, a number it retains to this day. First owned by Mr Sheen of Dorking, the car remained in the leafy suburbs of the capital for a year before moving to the Midlands where it was born. Two owners later it was off to Brighton for the remainder of the 1960's. The early 1970's took it to a West Sussex owner and then onto Essex. 1977 sees a change of owner to Mrs Loftus who keeps the car until the late 1980's.
By 1988 the then owner commissioned some major bodywork restoration. We have photographs, invoices and technical detail recorded during this work. 10 years later the same owner undertook completion of the areas not included in the first refurbishment. The work included an engine rebuild, re-trim, new hood and further mechanical work. CMC has known the car during the current ownership and recently carried out a major service, fitted new Avon radial tyres and other works to prepare the car for sale.
After 7 years continuous care by CMC and our clent, someone can enjoy open top ownership of this lovely car. Finished in red with two tone interior re-trim in good order, LPC360D drives and runs well. On wider rims and fatter tyres, a slick gearbox and willing engine there is a lot to like about this car. For those looking for a summer of open motoring it is difficult to imagine a better way of doing it.
