Current bid $39,100 reserve not met, 11 bids 6 days left in auction. 47k miles.

    Sellers description:
After 32 years of indoor climate controlled storage, this numbers matching, 3 owners Jaguar has been carefully restored to it's original beauty. No expense was spared to return this original low mileage automobile back to a mechanically perfect example of one of the most beautiful cars produced. Engine totally rebuilt. All hydraulic clutch & brake components replaced or rebuilt.

The fuel tank cleaned & coated, new fuel pump installed. The 3 carburetors rebuilt & synchronized perfectly to make this cat purr. Complete new clutch assembly, universal joints replaced where needed.

The complete interior has been replaced in the correct materials , the comfortable black leather seats rebuilt to original specs. The bright red paint, fit & finish is spectacular, all chrome has been replaced with new pieces, all gaskets replaced. The sound from the vintage Marmitte Ansa exhaust system is astounding, but not intrusive in the cockpit, just pure driving pleasure!!

The car rides on new Coker vintage tires, new wire wheels & knockoffs. Front shocks are from Koni. All steering rack, motor & transmission mount bushings replaced.

All this professional work has created an E-TYPE that looks & drives as new. This is not a bondo special, bring your magnet. This is a very nice car ready for fall cruising or add it to your collection of investment grade automobiles. Complete with Jaguar Heritage Trace Certificate verifying numbers match.

    Car returns to ebay 4/13/13
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Jaguar-E-type-Series-Roadster-Fully-Restored-Low-Or ...
Car has a buy it now price of $99,000 for 6 days. Car now said to be in Cornelius, North Carolina.

    Sellers description:
This great car was originally built on November 24 of 1966 and was dispatched on December 8 of 1966. The original colors were Carmen red with black interior and a black soft top. The first owner was B. Broadbent of Hamburg, NY USA. We purchased this car from the gentleman who we understand was either the second or third owner who owned the car since the mid to late 1970s. The car sat for several decades before it was completed from restoration to its beautiful current condition. Only 47,595 miles are on this car, which we understand to be original. The car presented here is one of the last 400 Jaguar E-type Series I Roadsters with covered headlamps sent to the USA and Canada (the first open headlamp Series I Roadster was 1E14532). The car we would say overall is a great example of a show/driver type car that can be enjoyed and is an absolute blast to drive!

The numbers (all matching) on this 1967 Jaguar E-type Series I 4.2 Roadster are as follows :
    Chassis Number: 1E14133
    Engine Number: 7E 11255-9
    Body Number: 4E 5871
    Gearbox Number: EJ 11942

To elaborate on the condition of this car, as the way would evaluate the car. We have bought and sold several etypes, so do know the cars well, but this is subjective:

Body/Paint: The body on this car is very straight. No rust on the body or bubbling anywhere. The paint overall is very good to excellent. Overall the paint is stunning and looks beautiful on this car.

Chrome: The chrome wire wheels are new as are the Coker classic red line tires. The chrome knock offs are also new. Chrome around the windshield I would say is very good, as I do not think this was rechromed with the rest of the car, but still very nice. The window pillars on both sides of the window shield look like they have been replated. Chrome above the doors is either new or replated. The chrome rings around the headlamps looks new or rechromed. The bumpers, over riders (driver side over rider has one has small scratch) and center motif bar look new. The rubber gaskets around windshield look newer. The bottom of the passenger side wind shield shows some delamination. The chrome around taillights also look new as well.

Interior/Top/Inside of trunk: The entire interior is new and done very nice. The center shift booth molding is missing in the pictures (which we do have a new one). All gauges and switches work. The original side windows roll up nice. The non-original radio does work. The canvas top is new. The inside of the trunk is also very clean. The spare is probably the original with an old Pirelli tire on it. The spare tire compartment is very clean and painted body color (red) as it should. It has the original tool kit with the car, original jack, grease gun and ratchet.

Engine Compartment: The engine compartment is very clean and there is no undercoating in the wheel wells. The exhaust manifolds we had ceramic coated on the inside and outside to avoid discoloration and for longevity.

Underside: The underside of the car is undercoated and the floors and toe boards are solid. There are no areas of rust that we have found and all areas underneath are solid. A different exhaust system was installed to give the car a more raspy sound and presence. The rear resonators are new and correct.

Engine/Driving/Braking: The car runs and drives excellent. The engine is very tight and strong. At cold idle (without the choke) the oil pressure is about 50 pounds and at temperature (warm) at 500 rpm it is 40 pounds. The compression is 160 psi to 165 psi across all cylinders. There are no unusual noises from the engine. The brakes stop well on the car with no fade and are immediate. The car feels great at any speed. It is tight and handles great. There is no binding in the steering wheel. There is also no throttle hesitation and the car really goes. We were told there were not a lot of miles placed on this car when we bought it since the engine was rebuilt. We do not have much reason to doubt this based on the performance and strong engine.

Overall: This is a great show/driver type of car. It is not a concours or trailer queen that is meant to never be driven. This car runs and drives exceptional. It is very fast and fun to drive. Jaguar E-types Series I cars are very desirable with 1967s being one of the most sought after by enthusiasts and collectors. This car has a great history, low miles, matching numbers and is an original red car. In addition, it is available for a fair market price. Nicely restored 1967 Jaguar E-types are becoming harder and harder to find.

This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC
