I bought the car 5 years ago as a complete wreck. It has now been totally rebuilt.

1965 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Litre Roadster
Lot 158
Registration Number: 4958H
Chassis Number: 1E1407
Estimate: £28,000 - £35,000
This Roadster is a great project that when completed will be a genuine right hand drive Series 1 4.2 roadster, which makes it one of the most sought after of all E type models.
Most of the major work has been completed with the exterior finished in two pack etch primer and new panels (supplied by Martin Robey) are Waxoiled with the underside and interior finished in dark blue. The front and rear sub frames have been rebuilt and the engine has also been rebuilt by V.S.E and bench tested along with the gearbox and drive train also rebuilt. New brake discs have been fitted throughout along with a new steering rack and column. The vendor reports that the work so far undertaken has been completed to a high specification and comes with numerous parts, many new in boxes including a new wiring loom.
Supplied with a V5 document, Heritage Trust Certificate (showing this example is a matching numbers right hand drive example) and the original log book, this project will provide the owner the satisfaction of bringing this great British sportscar back to life with the added benefit that it can be tailor made to the new owner’s exact specifications in time for the E-Types 50th celebrations.
