Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar, Series-1, XKE, E-Type, 4.2, OTS You are looking at an excellent example of one of the most beautiful cars every built. The Jaguar, XK E-Type, Series-1, OTS. This beautiful roadster has just completed a body-on, professional restoration by Colorado's largest independent Jaguar repair and restoration facility, Runs and drives like a jaguar should, all major components have either been rebuilt or replaced. The body sheet metal has undergone a thoroughly reconditioned. The old paint removed. The areas on the car that where leaded from the factory have been re-leaded. Bare metal re-sprayed using PPG's Nexa, Urethane Base-coat clear coat system. Complete color change to a dark green pearl metallic. Color sanded and polished to a high gloss, glass smooth finish. The paint has that incredible deep and wet look. When the car is in the sun the light reflects off the green pearl and looks stunning, The new biscuit interior and beautiful green pearl paint are very complimenting colors, together they look very British. The alignment and fit of the doors, boot-lid, bonnet and all the body panels is better than factory, The engine and clutch where rebuilt less than 2,000 miles ago. Brake calipers and master cylinder rebuilt. New Brake pads installed. New Biscuit interior. New alternator. New water pump. New glass headlamp covers. New body rubber. The bright work and glass are all in good to excellent condition. The undercarriage, trunk and engine compartment have all been re-painted and detailed. Always starts the first time and is one the best driving cars I have ever driven. In the last 2-3 years I have seen several Series- I E-Types that have sold for 100k + none of those cars look or drive any better than this Jag. I only see one downside to this car, the convertible top. It's a new top but doesn't fit perfect. A new top and some realignment should remedy the problem.
