Fast and beautiful. This is world-renowned covered-headlight Jaguar E-Type Series 1 O.T.S. (roadster). Very low original 57,000 miles. Beautiful Old English White exterior (original color) with black interior and black top. Triple polished SU carburetors and recently polished aluminum valve covers. All synchromesh 4-speed transmission. Complete restoration 1988-90, with over $50,000.00 in receipts. First place winner "Concourse in the Park," Clarkson, Michigan (have plaque). Additional $11,500.00 in receipts in November 2003 for upgrades and maintainance performed by Jaguars Unlimited in Highland Park, Illinois, an E-Type specialist. The car is in superb shape, with gorgeous, like-new paint and a clean, quiet engine with smooth idle. No overheating problems. Stainless steel exhaust with great tires. The Series 1 is the gorgeous original design and is the most collectible of all. The 4.2 liter is the best Series 1 car because it maintained the drop-dead looks of the original car with many engineering enhancements as compared with the older 3.8 liter: engine (more torque), transmission (all speeds synchromesh), better braking, electrical (neg. ground alternator instead of pos. ground generator), cooling, more comfortable seats, and more.
