Imported into the United Kingdom from California and sold by Fayreoak Classics of Cheltenham in November 2018. Seller's description below. www.fayreoak.com/autos/1966-jaguar-e-type-series-one-roadster/
Easy restoration. Jaguar Heritage certificate. Chassis number 1E12456. Left the factory in January 1966 finished in Dark Blue with Blue hood and Red leather interior. Delivered to its first owner in California, a lawyer who kept the car till he sold it to his business partner. He fitted the V6 engine when the original failed. It had California licence plate 3504LAW, which is what he charged per hour. He kept the car for the next 25 years.
The bodywork, bonnet, doors, sills and rear wings are in amazing rust free condition. The front door pans are original and solid. Only bodywork needed is the centre section, and one rear panel in the boot. It had a V6 engine and auto gearbox fitted in the 1990's, we have had it running. The interior is original and the seats are in good original condition. The carpet is original but faded. The hood and cover are original and usable. Chrome is original, some usable, some pitted. The wheels are all good. Overall a very easy E Type to restore.
