Ebay item 4/20/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Jaguar-E-Type/282932148449
Current bid US $35,100.00
Reserve not met 6 bids 9 days left in auction, seller mystuff23, 12k miles.

Sellers description:
A unique opportunity- This is a 1966 Jaguar XKE E Type convertible with only 12,054 miles. This car was sold new at Auto Engineering in Boston Ma on 3/30/1966. With 2 service stamps marked in the maintenance book, then it went down to Plainville CT about November 1966 with 2 more service stamps done by Pallotti & Poole in Hartford. It was then sold to the current owner in December 1975 ( paperwork included) Then it was repainted the same color and to fix a small dent in the lower passenger rocker panel, the plastic is thin and a magnet still sticks. Because the last owner had over 10 Jaguars this one was not used much and it was mostly stored in the garage being started occasionally until about 10 years ago when he could no longer drive so it sat untouched with 3 other Jags that were his favorite. This car, a 66 2+2 , and a 69 Convertible and a ton of parts will be sold. OVERALL THIS CAR IS AN AMAZING TIME CAPSULE ! ........Matching Number Car ....... Serial number- 1E12444, Engine 7E7684-9, Gearbox - EJ6816, Body - 4E3893. ...........Car Condition--BODY CONDITION --Just amazing considering how bad these can rust, the floors are GREAT, from underneath and also inside under the floormats and seats. trunk floor is perfect with a small amount of surface rust on the upper bulkhead near trunk release cable inside, rockers are great , all frame mounts etc, I can't impress enough about how solid this car is !! I have never seen an unrestored car better. The 2 spots with what would be a rust hole is behind each rear wheel on the wheel arch as shown in the photos. VERY minor. The front drivers bumper has a slight bend downward. The trunk cable is stuck so I release it from the hole behind the license plate, the rubber plug for the hole is saved. The body tag matches the data plate......INTERIOR CONDTION..... Appears complete from what I see, leather is dry and carpets are shot from sitting. Original top is also dry as you would expect for a 52 year old car. Glass and windshield is good . TOP Cover is included and in trunk. Dash is great along with switches, horn works as well as most of the lights and switches........ ENGINE CONDITION ...... Matching numbers on head and block above oil filter ! date coded Dec-21-1965 currently- NOT RUNNING -with no spark , cylinder bores look good with a camera and the engine cranks and turns over good. Water pump leaks from cranking over. Fuel has been drained as it was bad and smelled. As this car needs restoring assume it should be gone thru but the car was last started about 10 years ago from what I was told..... GEARBOX.... I could not find the number to verify matching because it was not on a lift but the last owner says original and I have no reason to doubt. Clutch slave cylinder is flat , seems to shift good thru gears. The master cylinder is also flat and the car has no brakes....NOTES.... this car is pretty much as it left the dealer considering the original parts still on it. PLEASE look at the picture to see the other parts included. The original headlight covers, JACK, TOOL KIT , door chrome, bumper pieces , fender trim, front plate holder, etc are in trunk. From what I see (as a non Jaguar expert) I think for the most part the only stuff missing is drivers front bumper guard and owners manual, . I know I wrote a lot but please read carefully and look at photos as I want you to understand the condition of this GREAT car that deserves a proper restoration!! Or fix and drive as is. Car is sold with a current CONN title and a Notarized bill of sale. It is not registered now. The car is located in Southington CT, 06489

Sold AS IS with no Guarantee. ALL information stated is from my observation and the last owner telling me about the car and is not guaranteed.
