His is a made-up number--mine is the engine that came with the car and is listed on the Heritage certificate.

I found out recently that I do not have the original engine in this car. It was replaced by a factory replacement in 66 after the original engine "blew up" according to neighbors of the original owner who died a good while ago. Non-the-less, it is exactly as original except the numbers and runs exceptionally smoothly.
