Sellers description:
Offered for sale is this fine 1966 E-Type Roadster. This car is a fresh restoration with 981 miles since the 11 month restoration was complete. Numerous award winnner, JCNA Concours winner with a score of 99.56 Champion Class (Suncoast Jaguar Club Concours), and Best of Show Awards. This perfect E-Type has won every show entered. The beautiful restoration has left nothing undone. The car has been sorted mechanically since the restoration was completed, and runs out smoothly and strongly.

I am Paul Ireson and my company is Ireson Motorsports, located in Fort Myers, Florida. My cars are well known in the Restoration, Custom and Tuner world:

I restored this beautiful example as my personal car, as a sister to my 1966 FHC. Family circumstances require me to offer this superb example to the most discriminating collector.

I chose this car for restoration due to it's premium status in the car range. Those that know the Series I's know that 1965, 1966, and 1967 are the most desirable and collectible of all E-Types produced. I chose the color "Carmen Red" with a biscuit interior as, to me, the right color for this car and the best to show off the stunning lines of this classic.

This matching numbers E-Type was lived most of it's life in California. The car had 68,700 prior to restoration, and 981 miles since.

The meticulous professional restoration was completed in October, 2010, and has been covered in my garage and lovingly cared for since. The car was restored over an 11 month period. No stone was left unturned in this restoration. I have a photographic and receipt record of the restoration.

The car comes with an original restored factory hardtop, finished in Carmen Red with all of the proper chrome trim. It looks splendid on the car, and gives the car an entirely different line. With the hardtop, you have three different cars! You have a hardtop, a soft top,and an open roadster!

The restoration included a full teardown and rebuild. All non-serviceable or questionable parts were replaced. The result is a virtually new 1966 E-Type, as you can see in the photos. The restoration included:

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
