Just updating registration info now that the car carries the SC antique car license plate "8137". After many years of effort (this is the second owner since 1971 speaking), the car is now registered, insured, running, but still a work in progress. The car is listed in the 50th Anniversary (8th edition, 2011) International Jaguar E-Type Register Directory, as it has in every edition since the 2nd edition in 1984.

Latest 6/2015 update: car is finally exiting a comprehensive, professional restoration.

Mike Gregory checking in for the last time on 1E12168. Capt RD is correct on the recent sale. The car was sold for only the second time in 50 years on 20 Jan 2016.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
