Ebay item 6/6/23

www.ebay.com/itm/134600660255

Opening bid $81,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller sealesgang, 26k miles

Seller's description:

Jaguar Etype 1966 Series, this is a rare opportunity to purchase what is one of the most desirable E Type, which has had the and expensive part done, the body work. This car was imported into New Zealand in 2002 which is when l purchased it as a project car. The previous owner had the car since 1974. The car has been sitting around for some time waiting to be finished, with the amount of other project l have on l can't see me getting to is any time soon, its time to sell.

The car is a 1966 series one OTS 4.2 matching numbers car, totally rust free car, the body has been rebuilt with Martin Robey supplied panels, and E Type Fabrications engine frames and picture frame. Bonnet is a Martin Robey reproduction. With a small amount of finishing work the body is ready for is first coat of primer. All work has been complete to the highest standard by a engineer with 40 year experience in classic car restoration.

Mechanically- The mileage on the speedo is 28000 looking at the lack of mechanical wear and considering the amount of time the car has been off the road it could be correct. All mechanical components have been stripped for rebuild etc. Car comes with a spare Centre dash as the original gauges and switches need replacing. There's a new set of pistons for this engine rebuild and a rubber body seal kit which was supplied by XKE Spares UK, the car was complete when dismantled but some parts will still need replacing due to corrosion like the bumpers.

From here this car is a relativity straight forward restoration, and a valueble when complete. Car is located in Christchurch New Zealand, will asist with any shipping requirements if required.

Car Number IEII959

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
