Ebay item 2/24/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-XKE-Series-I-4-2-Convertible_W ...
Opening bid $25,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. Car now located in New York City, New York.

Sellers description:
This XKE is Signal Red with a Black Interior, and a Black Soft Top. It also comes with its original hard top in red. This is a matching engine number car with 81,000 original miles, and these were the original colors when the car was new. The car was owned by the Auburn Museum in Indiana, and was auctioned off at a Kruse auction. The purchaser parked the car in his barn for two years, and did not use it. We located the owner that had it for many years before it arrived at the Auburn Museum, and he spoke very highly about the performance of the car and confirmed the mileage (The ultimate buyer will be given his name and phone number if they wish.). There does not appear to be any rust. The floors seem to be in good condition. We purchased the car sight-unseen, and it did not measure up to Cooper Classics' standards. The paintwork appears to have been done in the last few years, and has some imperfections. This car could be considered a good driver; however, the only way that we would add it to our collection would be to totally restore it, and we are not interested in doing so at this time.

Chassis # 1E11675
Engine # 7E60439
