    Sellers description:
This is a 1966 Jaguar XKE roadster. This car is a restoration project , and is all numbers matching except for the transmission. This car comes with a clear title. This car comes with a period correct transmission. The vin plate numbers are as follows: chassis:1e11579 body:4e2978 engine:7e5801-9 gearbox:ej4843 The body of this car has the original blue paint on it with surface rust. There is no major rust holes on the body. The bonnet is really nice with only surface rust present. Currently there is a ford engine in the car, when the ford engine was installed the engine shop didnt cut up the engine bay for the ford motor to fit. This car comes with the original engine as well, the original engine is complete, and it does include the carbs. The chassis on this car is solid with only surface rust present. The floor pans will need to be replaced. This auction comes with a new set of factory floor pans. The interior is all complete, but needs to be redone.

    Car returns to ebay 10/24/10
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Jaguar-1966-XKE-Series-Roadster-No-Reserve ...
Opening bid $15,000, no reserve, 1 bid 9 days left in auction. Car now in Braintree, Massachusetts.

    Sellers description:
1966 Series I roadster is a matching number car. The car was built in September of 1965. It has desirable 4.2 liter engine with the triple carburetor set up. It also has the covered headlights and the synchromesh gearbox. The car is pretty much complete, it rolls and steers fine. The convertible top material will need replacing, it is pretty much gone. The engine is seized on the car, but if you were planning on buying a car to restore, this is the right year. The car will need floors and probably more. The car is being sold for a restoration. I have a clear title for the car.
