The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates that this E-Type was manufactured on 2 September 1965, prior to being delivered to the Jaguar distributor in New York. Its bodywork was in Opalescent Dark Green colour, with a black soft top and black interior. This is only natural considering that the US market absorbed almost 75% of the E-Type production.
This E-type evolved in New Jersey in the early 2000s before being acquired by a collector in northern France. This 1960s and 1970s GT enthusiast then entrusted the car to GT Label, one of the best French restoration workshops specialised in the repair of post-war vehicles. A meticulous restoration was carried out and the car benefited from nearly a thousand hours of attentive manpower, divided almost equally between the engine and the bodywork!
This Jaguar E-Type was completely revised and everything needing to be changed has been changed (nearly €22,000 on various parts and supplies). The engine was fully serviced, as well as the cooling system, brakes, the entire exhaust, a lot of silent blocks, hoses, gaskets, etc. which have been replaced. "Matching numbers", this E-Type is in excellent condition to date. With its blue bodywork and the most elegant beige interior, this E-Type is ready to race in the most challenging Sunday rallies.
