I bought this car new from slaesman Skip Barber at Autolab Imports in Woburn,MA in 1965, owned it for 7 years and sold it in 1972. It was extensively autocrossed and was equipped with Koni shocks, rollbar, competition lap belts, and raced on Dunlop green spot R1 racing tires. I moved to California in 1967 (Santa Barbara area) and continued to run this car in AX events at SBCC and in Goleta an up the coast at Santa Maria. I moved to the SF Bay Area in 1970 and sold the car to un-noted new owner in SF in 1972. Before I sold it, the engine was replaced with another 4.2 liter motor after the original self-destructed in 1971. That work was done by the Jaguar dealer on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
