Just bought this car in January 2011. Traded my 1971 Series 2 E-Type OTS on her. Very nice car. It's a nice match to my 1967 E-Type FHC.

This looks like the E Type that was formerly owned by my friend Orlando Herrera. I wonder if it's the same car.

Max, can't know that without numbers, one of the reasons for this site. Owners change, colors change, only one way to positively track them.

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was completed on June 3, 1965, and distributed through Jaguar Cars of New York. It is said to have been refurbished approximately 14 years ago prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2011. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in metallic blue over dark blue leather upholstery. Equipment includes a dark blue convertible top and a black top boot as well as chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, an Alpine CD stereo, and Pioneer speakers. This Series I XKE roadster is now offered in California with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, a service handbook, a tool kit, an award plate, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The car was finished from the factory in Opalescent Silver Blue and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include a dark blue convertible top and a black top boot as well as a louvered clamshell hood, covered headlights, dual center-exit exhaust outlets, and split chrome bumpers with overriders.

Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P4000 Super Touring tires, and a matching spare is housed in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear units.

The front bucket seats were reupholstered in dark blue leather under previous ownership, according to the seller. An Alpine CD stereo is connected to Pioneer speakers, and the car is equipped with lap belts.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles, approximately 10k of which have been added by the seller.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with triple SU side-draft carburetors and was rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque when new.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

A Jaguar Clubs of North America Concours d’Elegance award plate is included in the sale along with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate and a service handbook.

A tool kit will also accompany the car.
