Jaguar E Type Series 1 4.2 roadster. This car was supplied to the US in 1965 and shipped to its first owner in Indiana. The car is for full restoration and comes as shown in the pictures. The shell is better than most you will find which makes it a restoration project for the gifted amateur as well as the professional restorer. The bonnet is really sound and the upper panels all straight. The majority of the work to restore the shell will be in the floor and boot areas, but again these are better than most cars awaiting restoration.

The car was originally opalescent silver blue with a black interior so a really good colour combination. Chassis no is 1E 10785 with a manufacture date of March 1965. There are a number of items missing, the major parts being the hood frame and carbs. The engine, gearbox and all the other running gear are in situ. Nearly all of the trim is missing but that would need replacing in any event. The seats and some chrome is included. If you can't see it in the photos assume it's not there. If necessary, I can put the winning bidder in touch with a friend who can supply a hood frame.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
