This 1974 Jaguar Series III E-Type roadster is a numbers-matching example which was originally sold by Ladd Motors Inc. in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and acquired by its previous owner out of Georgia in 1985. The car is equipped with a 5.3-liter V12 and was reportedly stored indoors for approximately 30 years due to a water pump failure prior to its recent acquisition by the seller. It is reported to roll and the engine is said to turn over using the starter, though no attempt to let it run has been made. This E-Type is offered at no reserve as a non-running project with a hard top, Passport to Service booklet, owner's manual, spare water pump, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and clear Georgia title in the seller's name.

The car was reportedly repainted in its factory Sable Brown prior to 1985, though the work did not include the door jambs, engine bay, or trunk according to the seller. Chips are noted on the right side of the body. The seller points out that the bonnet, doors, and trunk close properly. A 1987 inspection decal remains affixed to the windshield.

The black folding soft top requires replacement, though the frame is said to be in working order. The left front wheel is missing spokes, and a matching spare remains fitted in the trunk. An additional wire wheel pictured in the gallery will accompany the sale.

The 5.3-liter V12 is reported to have last run 30 years ago. Underhood components include original-style clamps, decals, emissions components, and a factory bonnet-mounted spare key according to the seller. The engine was reportedly soaked in Marvel Mystery Oil for a week prior to hand-turning it 45 degrees, then a second bottle was added and two complete rotations were performed.

Corrosion is noted on the right rear corner under the battery tray and the right corner of the trunk floor.

1974 Jaguar E Type roadster, only 39,000 miles from new. Been in storage since 1987. We have it running after 32 years of storage, had it on our ramp and the car is very solid and original. There are only 2 small areas of corrosion, bottom of the rear arch and the passenger floor pan, both the size of a 2 pence coin. The interior will have a clean up only as it is 100% original with no rips or tears. The soft top has a small tear so it will need a new one. We have the hood and cover and factory hard top.

The engine sounds nice, good oil pressure, we have compression readings from all 12 cylinders and all are good. The car will need a service, due to being in storage to make it roadworthy before use on the public roads. Spare factory key still attached to bulkhead. It will need a new set of tyres as these are the originals.
