This 1974 Jaguar XKE is a Series III roadster that was purchased new by the seller’s late husband from Anderson Foreign Motors of Woburn, Massachusetts. The car is finished in British Racing Green over black and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo, and quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Recommissioning in 2021 following approximately two decades of storage included replacing the fuel tank, fuel pump, battery, and coolant hoses. This Series III XKE is now offered in Navarre, Florida with a tool kit, an original invoice, repair manual, owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Minnesota title in the name of the seller’s late husband.
The car is finished in British Racing Green with a black soft top. Features include a louvered hood, dual central exhaust outlets, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers with rubber overriders. The right quarter panel is said to have been repaired following an accident in the early 1980s.
Chrome-finished 15” knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 205/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring A/S tires. The brake fluid was bled in 2021.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black. Amenities include a heater, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, and lap belts.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, while auxiliary gauges located on the center stack display readouts for battery voltage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Work performed in August 2021 following approximately two decades of storage consisted of an oil change and replacement of the battery and coolant hoses, along with the fuel tank, pump, and sending unit.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch was repaired in August 2021. Rust is noted on the exhaust system, and a dent on the lower section of the rear bodywork is visible.
The original invoice lists the factory options and a total selling price of $9,560.
