Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar XKE Series lll roadster with 23,813 original miles. It is a 12 cylinder 4 speed with factory air conditioning. I am the second owner but feel like the first since I went with my college roomate when he bought the car brand new in 1974 from the Jaguar dealer in Salt Lake City,Utah. After working in Alaska for two summers he saved his money for his dream car and paid the 11,310 that the car cost. Over the next 30 years we remained good friends and wrote and visited each other on a regular basis even though he stayed in Utah and I moved to Florida. The car was his baby and he treated it like that. The 23,813 miles are from trips he took to Las Vegas and Yellowstone Park during the summer months and never driven in the winter. The car was serviced as needed. In 2004 he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2005. In 2006 I purchased the car from his family and drove the car from Salt Lake City to Florida-that is the history of the car. Since I have owned the car I have done the following: Removed and rebuilt the carburators. Put the first repaint of the original color which is Regency Red-this was a high quality two stage paint. A new stainless steel exhaust system. New spoke wheels with Perelli tires (the original spoke wheels will go with the car). New black reproduction seat covers and floor mats.New rubber trim throughout the car. New air compressor. All guages work fine as does all the electrics in the car. I have the original owners manual,window sticker,most of the original tools and the mint condition original black hardtop. The car is in beautiful condition and has had loving care since new.
