Ebay item 2/18/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Coupe-1973-Jaguar-XKE-V-12-Coupe-Perfect-P ... Current bid $15,000, no reserve, 9 bids 6 days left in auction. Sellers description: 1973 Jaguar XKE Coupe Vin# UDIS75036BW V12 with Automatic Transmission. Engine Runs but car has been sitting for a couple of years. Chrome Wire Wheels have some rust on them and need polishing. Paint is Blue Color, does need a new pain job, body is clean however. Interior is beige in color but also needs to be redone. This is a Perfect Project Car for restoration. It just needs a little TLC and could be the diamond in the ruff that some collectors look for.

For sale at Passione Epoca of San Severino Marche. Amended seller's description below.

This suggestive E Type V12 coupe with the 5343cc engine looks beautiful. It comes with Jaguar Heritage certificate number 44796 that confirms the original colours of the car, Dark Blue with a Biscuit leather interior, a lovely combination rarely found in these luxury sports cars. This E Type has had only one owner, who bought it new in June 1973 and drove it until 2006, when the car was taken off the road. It has travelled little since and has done just 58,000 miles altogether, very little for a car of this type.

When we purchased the car it was driving and functioning perfectly, with no signs of wear except for interior which had become worn over time. We have dozens of photos showing what the car looked like in 2011, the year it was imported and also have a record of the car's history. The interior has been completely restored, being retrimmed and fitted with new carpets in the original colour. The fuel system has been completely restored, the tank and fuel lines have been cleaned internally and externally, and the original petrol filter has been fitted with new seals.

The car had no scratches or dents but the paint had lost its original lustre so it was repainted in its original colour and fitted with new high quality stainless steel bumpers. The car comes with its original Texas (Houston) title and Italian customs clearance documents. It is ASI certified so it is ready to be registered in Italy or any other European country.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
